Port Wine Sauce

Yield: 1/2 cup (serving size=2 T)

Comments: This goes with Grilled Veal Scaloppine with Lemon Mashed Potatoes and Port-Wine Sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

2 c. port or other sweet wine
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. sherry vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring wine mixture to a boil, and cook 35 minutes or until reduced to 1/2 cup.
